Baby Closet

About the Baby Closet

The Baby Closet at St Mark’s is intended to assist families in crisis by providing essential items for infants and young children. It was started in 2006 with a grant from the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester.  Through this mission, emergency assistance is given to people suffering and in need in our community.  In 2017, the Baby Closet had 118 visits from those in need.

The Baby Closet is funded by the generosity of the people of St Mark’s and by grants from the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester, as well as donations from other churches, organizations, and individuals.

The closet has items such as

  • diapers
  • wipes
  • baby shampoo
  • baby cereal, food, and formula
  • limited clothing (up to size 5)
  • crib bedding
